Last Sunday (11th) was a very happy and happening day for our members! We all enjoyed our Annual Picnic at Green Village Resorts at Malad West. The day began at 9 am with a sumptuous breakfast of sandwiches, upma, idli, medu vada, sambhar, tea & coffee. What followed was impromptu Antakshri till our games host Mavis arrived – and then the fun and games began – and ended only at 1 pm with yummy lunch and desserts galore! But before lunch we sang the ‘Happy Birthday’ song for Kavita Shanbhag! Kavita also asked Dr. Pravina Shah to do the honours and launch the 3rd edition of her book ‘Journey to Empowerment’ – a resource guide for children with special needs. After enjoying our meal to our hearts’ content we played Housie, had another round of Antakshri till tea and snacks were served. A look at the pictures tells the story of a day well spent!
