On June 23, our Epilepsy Support Group gathering brought together neurologists, psychologists, caregivers, and warriors at Nair Hospital to talk, share, and connect. The panel enlightened the attendees on epilepsy awareness, psychosocial support, and community resilience.

Our panel tackled essential questions that matter deeply to the epilepsy community:

How common is epilepsy?

Are medications enough or can surgery be the cure?

How does an epilepsy diagnosis affect mental health—both for the person and their family?

What is the hidden burden of stigma?

Our Samman members also shared their powerful stories of acceptance, support systems, and finding strength through the journey.

This support group was about empowerment, and showing that no one walks this path alone.
