What a wonderful time we had in Tirupati; made all the more memorable by the hospitality provided to us by the Organizing Secretary Dr. B. Vengamma. We left on 6th afternoon and reached at 4 p.m. on the 7th. After resting a while at the AP Tourism Hotel, we went for the inauguration. The student nurses of SVIMS put up a lovely dance performance. This was followed by an Indian dance by students of Mr. Suresh. The next day (patient & caregiver session) started with presentations by various chapters on the work being done. We were then fortunate to make it for a part of the parallel session on alternative methods to control seizures. Congratulations to Dr. Meena Gupta who was presented the prestigious Shri H.C. Bajoria award. Her oration was on the Psychosocial Dimensions of Epilepsy. During the K.S. Mani session which followed, the student nurses and Samman put up skits which were much appreciated. Mahesh Palan and Vishnu Rane at this session also spoke about their lives with epilepsy.

In the evening we went for darshan to the Tirupati Temple. The next morning we visited some more temples, did some shopping and went for the sound and light show at the Chandragiri fort. All said a very enjoyable trip!Â
