As you may be aware 70% of people with epilepsy get their seizures under control with medication / surgery while 30% continue to have seizures. These persons, who often are on multiple drugs, face immense problems. Their education gets hampered, they have no scope for employment and they remain dependent and ‘at home’ for most of their lives.
We wish to start an empowerment program for these persons who have uncontrolled daily / weekly seizures. Our program would offer them sheltered work that makes use of whatever talents they possess. For their hard work we would like to give them some remuneration for which we appeal to your generosity. We feel that your support of only Rs.100/- each month will help us in this endeavor. A one-time donation of any value, for this purpose, is also welcome. We encourage you to think of the less fortunate especially on birthdays, anniversaries or other happy events in your family.
