Yesterday I did the 6km run with the Isha Vidhya group. The aim was to collect money to build a rural school – and we collected Rs.40 lakhs! We gathered at Azad Maidan at 8 a.m. and moved out only at 9.15. It was quite a spectacle at Azad Maidan as people had come in masquerade / fancy dress. There were even prizes given for the best dress.  NGOs found creative ways to make their name stand out.  Unfortunately I did not take my camera. One really cannot run as there are a lot of people and one has to walk with the NGO to which one belongs. As we came out of the maidan we were greeted by John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Chhagan Bhujbal, Anil Dharkar etc. who were on specially set up stages at the side. Along the way there were live bands or music. Sounds of Isha live played on Marine Drive – and they were awesome! Next year we should do the run to raise funds for the IEA, Bombay Chapter. Hope you’ll will all join! Carol
P.S. Today is my 20th wedding anniversary and I and my husband are off to Coorg – will be there for the next 10 days.
