We celebrated the event with an awareness program at Wockhardt Hospital, Mulund. Wockhardt has promised to start a similar support group and with Dr. Shah to nurture the group we are sure it will be a success!! Our group has promised any help required. Associate Vice President of Wockhardt, inaugurated the program with the customary lighting of the lamp and encouraged such awareness drives and support groups. Dr. Pravina Shah then spoke of its purpose. Epileptologist, Dr. Jayanti Mani started the workshop by detailing the medical aspects of epilepsy after which Neuropsychologist Dr. Urvashi Shah spoke of psychosocial aspects of epilepsy. A panel of doctors then answered questions from the audience – and there were so many! People with epilepsy also gave personal testimonials. The meeting ended with Carol D’Souza enumerating the work done at ECell and a vote of thanks from Dr. Mani. Delectable items ended the day on a happy note.
