A rewarding start to 2025 summer with a Rural Medical Training Program. The program, facilitated by Dr. Pradnya Gadgil, brought together 51 doctors and health workers for an intensive and interactive day of learning.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of rural healthcare providers in managing neurological conditions, with a particular focus on epilepsy awareness and seizure first aid. Through informative sessions and hands-on demonstrations, participants gained practical knowledge on identifying different types of seizures, administering immediate first aid, and providing community-level support to those living with epilepsy.
This initiative is part of Samman’s larger commitment to bridging gaps in rural health education and ensuring that frontline workers are equipped with the skills and confidence to respond effectively in medical situations. Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing that the training filled critical knowledge gaps and would directly benefit their communities.
As we move forward, Samman remains dedicated to supporting rural health systems and driving a network of trained, compassionate healthcare professionals who can be first responders where it matters most.
