Samman’s first Monsoon Walkathon to stamp out stigma

On Friendship Day 2023, Samman Association, joined by members, families, friends and well-wishers, walked to raise epilepsy awareness, and increase visibility for the neurological condition.
We had about 70 people join us to raise epilepsy awareness and walk 3 km in Bandra, Mumbai.
We walked to stamp out stigma associated with epilepsy — something that many have to live with every single day. More importantly, all of us had so much fun advocating for it. Because why not? Advocacy can be fun, and responsible.
The walkathon started with registrations and a warm up session. After walking for awareness around Bandra, we came back to the venue for medal distribution, games and a fun dance session and cool down.

Samman’s Managaing Commitee doctors closed the event with their breif speeches on the need for epilepsy awareness.

We are extremely grateful to Pranav Constructions Private Limited (PCPL) for sponsoring this walkathon. We would like to extend our thanks to Sports Connect and Sourav Ghosh for succesfully managing the logistics of the event.
