Our October support group meeting at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central was a powerful reminder of keeping the conversation on epilepsy and mental health going. It was held at a scenic atrium on the 13th floor of the Hospital on October 13, 2024 (Sunday) between 1pm and 4pm.
The doctor-led panel discussion tackled epilepsy’s complexities. A lot of myths were dispelled and the hope for living normally with the condition was reignited.
Our distinguished panel included: Dr Prashant Makhija, Dr Merchant, Dr Aarti Sharma, Dr Siddika Panjwani, and our Epilepsy Warriors Shenaz Haveliwala and Deepesh Palkar.
The panel discussion attracted Wockhardt inspired many questions and interactions form the audience.
While the audience asked pertinent, thought-provoking questions, our experts in the panel patients answers each of them and she’d light on different aspects of epilepsy such as mental health care, surgery options, medication, and so on.

The support group ended with a succint presenatation on the activities and initiatives Samman does. The hospital had arranged for a wonderful lunch before the program.
