Uttejan (Thane epilepsy support group) which means “positive reinforcement”  celebrated its first anniversary today at IPH Thane.  Uttejan is basically run by 4 parents who have children with epilepsy: Dr. Mrunalini Palshikar, Mrs. Alpa Chande, Dr. Ashwini Marathe and Mrs. Rema Ramchandran – all very dynamic women.  Yashodha’s father Dr. Achwat spoke and sang and gave wonderful advice, as did Dr. Nadkarni.  Various persons were felicitated and persons with epilepsy spoke how this past year has made a positive difference to their lives.  It was a wonderful even which started with breakfast and ended with the film: Epilepsy the Untold Story and lunch.  Best wishes to the Uttejan team!
