For people living with epilepsy, building a fulfilling professional life involves more than academic qualifications and technical knowledge. Confidence, communication, workplace readiness and the ability to navigate professional spaces are equally important.

With this in mind, Samman Association organised ‘Leveling Up Your Skills’, a five-week, hands-on Soft Skills Workshop designed to help fresh graduates and early-career professionals strengthen skills that matter in today’s evolving workplace.

Led by Master Trainer Jerusha Ranshinge, the workshop brought together participants for interactive online sessions covering five key areas: AI Skills, Job Readiness, Workplace Etiquettes, Professional Communication and Networking.

Rather than limiting learning to theory, the sessions focused on practical application. Participants explored how to communicate effectively, prepare for professional opportunities, navigate workplace interactions and make use of emerging tools such as AI. The interactive format encouraged participants to engage, ask questions and build skills they could carry into their academic and professional journeys.

At Samman, we believe that people living with epilepsy deserve opportunities to learn, grow and pursue their aspirations without being defined by their diagnosis. Creating access to such learning experiences is one way of supporting greater confidence, independence and participation in the workplace.

The workshop concluded on a celebratory note, with participants receiving their certificates during Samman Ki Diwali, held on 24 October 2026 at ADAPT, Bandra Reclamation.

Every new skill is an opportunity to move forward with greater confidence. Through initiatives like these, Samman Association continues to work towards a world where epilepsy does not stand in the way of a person’s potential.
