It has been some time since we have posted an update on our activities – well am happy to say they have been continuing just as successfully, and I am truly sorry for the delay. We have had an epilepsy clinic at Dahanu and one at Talasari both on 14th April.  At Dahanu we did an epilepsy education program for the local doctors, as well as attended to patients.  This was the first camp at Dahanu and the 13th one at Talasari.  In time we hope to move to a more accessible location than the one in Talasari. On May 26th we had our 59th epilepsy clinic in Pen which was attended by over a 100 patients. Dr. Pravina Shah and 2 Resident Neurologists from Fortis Hospital and Physiotherapist Dr. Dhruv willingly gave their time to these patients and Samman members helped with medicine and file distribution.

We have also had support group meetings. On 11th May we had a meeting at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. At least 30 persons attended this and shared their experiences with epilepsy. The feedback received from patients and family members has enthused the Neurologists Dr. Jayanti Mani and Dr. Pradnya Gadgil to continue with these.The May meeting at ADAPT, Bandra was cancelled as most members were either busy or on holiday.  On 1st June we had a support group meeting at ADAPT which was well attended – the topic of discussion was goal setting in all areas of our lives.

We do look forward to meeting many of our members at our AGM which is going to be held on 20th June, at 4 pm at our Center at ADAPT, Bandra.
