The day was wonderfully bright as we (Kavita & Carol) journeyed by bus to Pune.  At Pune we were welcomed by Yashodha and Parag to their lovely home.  The fundraiser began at 5.30p.m.  A group of Pune doctors (radiologists, cardiologists, dentists, homeopath, surgeons etc) have formed the LET’S ACT Trust which stands for Life Enrichment through Science Arts & Charity Trust and every year they perform for a different charity.  LET’S ACT has managed to raise Rs. 50 lakhs for charity in the last 10 years.  The doctors performed on all the different instruments normally used in an orchestra.  There were 8 singers amongst them- 5 male and 3 female docs.  Dr. Jagdish Hiremath, Cardiologist, compered the show with  ‘CHANGE’ as the theme – What has changed for the better; what has changed for the worse; what needs to change and what does not need to change – all with humourous powerpoint slides.  2 months before the show the doctors rehearse for 3 hours a day, usually from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.  And that was quite evident in their splendid performance! Congratulations to Yashodha, Radhika and the rest at Sanvedana for organizing this fundraiser!
