At Samman Association, our monthly epilepsy support group sessions are designed to not only provide information and community support but also to empower individuals living with epilepsy to build resilience, confidence, and visibility.
In our recent session, we had the privilege of being led by Jerusha Ranshinge, who guided participants through a powerful discussion on self-image, personal branding, and confidence building. The session explored how the way we see ourselves – and how we present ourselves to the world – deeply influences our well-being, mental health, and even the way we manage conditions like epilepsy.

Jerusha encouraged participants to practice daily self-reflection, align their external image with their internal values, and focus on self-prioritization as an essential part of wellness. She also shared strategies for stress management, communication skills, and digital presence, explaining how simple, consistent practices can help epilepsy warriors break stigma, embrace their strengths, and thrive in education, employment, and personal relationships.
The session highlighted the challenges many people with epilepsy face, from hesitation in seeking help to lack of confidence due to societal stigma. Yet, it also underlined a key truth: with the right support, guidance, and tools, people with epilepsy can lead empowered, stigma-free lives.

💜 At Samman, we believe that every conversation like this moves us one step closer to a society where epilepsy is understood, spoken about, and never hidden in silence. We are deeply grateful to Jerusha for her insightful session and look forward to more such engagements that blend mental health, personal development, and epilepsy awareness.
